Okay so here is what I am currently planning and where ANYONE'S insight would be very welcome. Firstly I plan on cleaning out all the boards. All the inactive links are going to go. However I will keep any link with the majority of the posts being 500 words or more. These will go into the archives this is part of Arcanes past and also makes for really good reading. I also have ideas of hiding maybe secret codes or posts in the archives that will be part of the new plot. While I am redoing the site and in order to pull new members in I am going to keep this general board open to all including guests.
I am going to try to organize the boards so they make more sense and pick the best layout I have so that Arcane is more appealing. Anything that is out dated will go and I will do what I can with my out dated coding skills until I can come up with something better. I have many polls and ideas that need other people opinion. But first we need to get more people here first.
For a basic plot I am going to have four kingdoms. I am going to create new places(boards) for the characters to go to. Yes magic is still going to be apart of this site. Going to to Arcane's roots magic has always been part of this site. This time however I am only going to put a little magic in and let the cherries and players decide where we go from here. I am going to lock all the boards except in the social area. my idea is that once we have enough players then I will open those territories and let the players battle it out to see who become kings and queens of those lands. I have always been a sucker for royalty.
The leaders of those domains will determine what that land becomes. Perhaps one will be a male only land, another might allow humans to live there, maybe one leader will allow wolves, one might be magic users with powers, maybe an orphanage for abandoned foals. This way the game is runned by the players and ANYTHING is possible heck maybe only land could have dragons, I've always wanted to play a dragon. Arcane is literately going to become a clean slate once again. I hope my Rpging skills aren't too rusty.
I also plan on coming up with a way to be more open to players. Let me explain what I mean. I want to welcome all players from those who can only get on once a week, every day, Vast experience with RPing to never seen one in their life.
TO simplify here's how I am planning, start small, allow imagination by letting the players decided and be appealing to all types of players. Please tell me what you think and thank you for your time
