General
Respect your admins and mods, and when we ask you to do something, please do it. In the end, we do have the last say. But don't worry, we're not power hungry or crazy and we don't bite! We're generally laid back, so if you're good to us and the people around you, you won't awaken the sleeping lion(ess)!
With that said, lets get along and be friends, yeah? Be nice to the other players. No foul language with one another in ooc, and if you've beef with someone, go cook it on another stove.
While we're not novel writers, we do enjoy a good post! We've set our minimum to at least 200 words. Please cough that much up, it makes for better plots. And we don't have a maximum, so let your imagination soar!
Graphic content isn't allowed here, to comply with the host's rules. But the site is PG-13, and mild foul language is allowed in ooc fights. We suggest you be at least 13 years old, another rule of proboards.

That being said there is real life and sometimes we as players get carried away and bite off more then we can chew. So in light of that fact there is a CHARACTER LIMIT of 4. If you would like more, or if there is special circumstances please contact the admin and she may grant you another. ( a special circumstance being low activity or a necessity for a plot.
If this is your first time at trying to role play.....welcome. There are characters also known as cherry's that are already made. Which brings me to another point. If you leave and you know you are leaving for good or for a long time please put your cherry up for adoption. Let some one else continue your legacy. An example of a good character to put up for adoption is a god or a really powerful or well known character.
After you post your character in the joining board, you can start right away! But please be sure to go back and change the stuff we mark down. We ask for a lot of detail about your character not only to help us but to help you get a feel for which direction you want to take. Which means you'll want to be checking back in occasionally. Also, please post everything in font size 1! If you don't know how, PM an admin or mod to help you!
Something New; Many of our fellow RPG's have been dying out. There are many causes for this however we want to welcome all sorts of players. From the really active ones who are on multiple times a day to the players who can only get on twice a week. In order to accommodate all type a players we are putting to the test a new system. In your profile you must put Activity: , and then however active you truly are. Not what you want to be but what you can truly manage. So if your on everyday put every day, three times a week ect..... However you must be on at least twice a week to be considered a true member. By using this system people can play with players on their same level. So two players who are only on twice a week can enjoy the site together. This also means that players who are on everyday know to be patient with someone who is only able to get on twice a week.
Also while we are in this section of the site. Please list the what type of cherry's you have and their names in your signature. You can look at mine as a example. If you have any questions please just ask
Staff
Alright so Arcane has always been a players choice sort of RPG. So that being said there are two ways to become Staff. You can be voted in by the Arcane community or chosen by me Night the creator. If you become staff there are of course benefits to that position. Do not shrink from your duties though otherwise your stay in the staff lounge will be very short. Depending to how much time you put in here you can be a simple moderator of you could even be running the joint. To become staff you simply have to be active and be a member to look up to. Active meaning showing at least five days out of the week and know your way around a keyboard okay enough said. There will be elections as soon as there are enough people to have elections for, keep an eye out for them. Also one more note here, If you become staff you need to do your duties or you will be demoted. If you get kicked out of Staff there will not be a second invitation, keep that in mind when running.
Fighting
Of course this only appiles to ooc fights, but I bet you guys already knew that, right? Anywho, no power playing. No one likes it, it's not fair so let's just not do it, okay? Fights can be judged by a mod, or a poll. Also your cherry cannot be untouchable, know how to take a hit. No god molding either please. People have flaws so should your cherry makes for a lot of fun and good reading!
You can't challenge the same horse over, and over again. you lose, you win, no matter. Get up and move on, come back another time. Speaking of time, the challenged has 4 days to respond to the challenge. If they don't then the challenger is given the automatic win. You also cannot challenge for the same item until you reach 30 days. That way it's fair and the winner has time to enjoy the spoils and the loser time to enhance their rping skills
Fights are one on one, no group fights or help from anyone else unless it's a huge plot, then you can fight with an army if ya want! To an extent at least...
Fights also can't go for forever. So if it gets too long, a mod or admin will have it ended and the fight will be judged. Judging is based on skill, not word count. You have to make the minimum, but we want to see how well you write, not the ammount. Grammer and spelling help too, we want to be able to understand what we're reading!
Realms/Territories
So as you can see this world is divided up into four sections. In each of these direction you are going to notice a theme. To the south as you might imagine is really hot down there. So there a beach some cliffs and of course desert. As a general rule make sure that the character you create can survive in the land its going to live. So for example an Arabian would be a good fit for a desert but might get a broken leg in the north. These skinny little legs aren't going to do well in six feet of snow. Just saying this is a magical land as well so strange things are bound to happen but be practical about the basics okay. For now there are no kings or queens. The lands are yours to do with as you please.
Some ideas to get you started. Wolfs could rule entire realms and so could horses. Males could be the ruling factor or females can. You can be one big happy family or could be a tyrant. Sooner rather then later there will be one ruler for each realm so I suggest you figure it out quickly.
If you do become a leader of any kind I would like to give you a hint. The amount of land you have is not set in stone. The busier and more player you have in your lands the more land you will get. This means that the north might only have two lands and the south might have five or six. Every land will have at least two to start off with. That will there will at least be some competition for Ruler.
NOTICE: The Realms will NOT be opened until there are at least six contenders to fight for them. You WILL NOT officially be that lands ruler until you have won it in a battle. Keep that in mind.
For the other borders in the social lands please follow the guide lines. If the land says that battles happen there don't cry if your cherry gets killed because you were in the wrong place at the wrong time. Also if it is a peaceful land don't go there asking for trouble or you might get struck by lighting, in fact I can promise you it will happen

So who don't like playing a cute little baby! There are only certain times when you can have those bundles of joy or chaos depending how you look at it. During the spring and summer you can have them. During the fall and winter you cannot.
Horses can only have up to two foals at a time. Wolves can only have three at a time. If you get the higher numbers make sure to find enough players to play them, and not just the parents either. Try to find new people to bring into your circle of rainbows and sunlight. If you can't find enough then eventual some or all the kids might have to die. Don't forget about the wonderful 4 cherry limit. This will also make children here more precious and more desirable to their parents and other who might want to steal them.
